Two-tally awesome

Spring Break 2013

Devlin's second month was full of adventure.  He took his first trip to Florida where he met Aunt Libby, Uncle Jesse, Jesse, Aunt Geri, Uncle Steve and Charlie among many others.  As you can tell from the pics, his favorite activity was still napping.  Whether napping poolside, during a stroll along the river or on Poppy while watching the Masters, he thoroughly enjoyed his first vacation.

Onederful month

Devlin has inherited his Dad's BB Bear, his favorite teddy bear from when he was a child.  We couldn't think of a better way to mark the monthly milestones than being right next to the teddy that his father grew up with.

My first month

Devlin's first month included celebrating St. Patty's Day and hanging out at home with Dad, Mom and big sister Joey.  Luckily, Joey is a great big sister and very gentle with her baby brother.  Devlin cruised through his first month as a good sleeper, eater and overall laid back baby boy.

My first visitors

In his first few weeks at home, Devlin had several fun visitors come by.  He got to meet his cousins: Sarah, Trent and Addy.  In addition, Fania, Ken, Angel, Krysten, Courtney, and Jen all came by for visits.  We, especially Mom, really appreciated having all the visitors!

My stay at the hospital

Despite his short stay at the hospital, Devlin still had a lot of visitors.  Aside from his grandparents, Devlin met his big sister, Joey, Aunt Jenny, Uncle Jason, cousin Jacob, Mr. Richy, Mr. Nick, Miss Ashley, Miss Natalie, Miss Stephanie and Mr. Cuyler.  It was wonderful to have so many visitors come by to see Devlin during his first full day in the world!

It's my Birthday!

Devlin James was born on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at 4:57PM.  It was a very relaxed day with wonderful nurses and a quick delivery.  He was quite a bit bigger than the doctors had anticipated, weighing in at 8.5 pounds.  Unfortunately because of his size, the doctors had to monitor his glucose levels for the first 24 hours which meant a needle stick every 3 hours.  Devlin took the pain like a little champ and was absolutely fine.  He was a great eater right from the beginning (just like Daddy) but all other features were, just like his name, very Devlin.  He was born with a full head of dark, brown hair and even has his Mom's coloring.  Here are a few pics from day one!
